Melissa, starry-eyed soy-lovin' Expatriated Zulu
imageHi, I'm Melissa. I was born and reared for 10 years in New England, followed by several years in Colorado with brief periods of exile in Virginia and North Carolina. I most recently made Texas home for six years, but I have returned to Colorado after my partner's slow deterioration following a traumatic brain injury in May 2005 made remaining there unhealthy for everyone involved. This cake is delicious.

I periodically post pictures, but always behind a cut tag. Ditto for particularly long posts and anything I think might be TMI to my general readership. The numbers preceding text in my tags are the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) for each tag's subject. All copyright rights in the Dewey Decimal Classification system are owned by Online Computer Library Center, Incorporated (OCLC).

"There is nothing more fatal to maidenly delicacy of speech than the run of a good library." -- Robertson Davies, Tempest-Tost
