Sinuses are being evil again (hello incoming storms!) and Himself reality-checked my regular fantasy cure. The upshot is that the cure would be worse than the disease. Meh. If anyone has a bottle of Ponaris they'd like to part with, drop me an e-mail and we can make a deal. If not, I'm calling Wise Pharmacy (off Wadsworth and Bowles in Littleton) later in the week to see how much they charge; my civvie doctor here highly recommends them.

Depending on how I'm feeling later tonight, I'll make the ObGiftmas post for those of you who might be interested in what we got.

1230_01laurelcateatingThanks again to kenwestervelt for the books, especially Fresh Milk. It cleared up any residual breastfeeding guilt I was carrying and did the extra favor of having more information on the little girl a lot of milk from the bank Mom donated to in 1982 went to. Very useful.

Here's the Book-A-Minute version of Laurel's latest escapades: Absolutely enthralled by expanded train set and table. Bear in the Big Blue House video inspired best one-day success with potty training yet. While pretending to be a cat, asked to be fed dry cereal in the bowl on the floor with hilarious results.

Carry on.

Still sick? It's been over a week now, hasn't it? :/

The stomach bug cleared out in about three days. I was just complaining about my sinuses, which flare up every time they encounter a significant change in air pressure.

I'm going to call my competent civvie doctor later this week and see if he can hook me up with another sample bottle of Ponaris. For all the non-prescription treatments I've tried (Himself jokes I've snorted everything legal in the States), it's one of the few thing that's helped although I dislike the piney flavor it imparts.

That sounds like a neat book.

If you'd like to borrow my copy, I could include it in the package of 18m/2T clothing I'm preparing to send your way.

I am notoriously bad at returning things. I'd be especially bad if I had to go to the post office to do it.

Well, I'll just send my current copy to you and hunt down another one if/when I want to reread it. (:

Oh yeah, speaking of potty-training, I got a free DVD from work that's I guess something you make kids watch to realize that using the toilet is frikkin' awesome. I haven't watched it yet, but I've got it.

(NOTE TO NON-MELISSA FOLK: I don't have a child I'm potty-trainin', nor even a child, and I myself actually _am_. I just like these things, because they're sort of that Ephermeral Film sorta thing. I figure a lot of these are kinda the modern day equivalent of Classroom Films. They're not as fun as most of those, though, but they're still pretty amusing.)

I also got some Mexican Rap Posters because someone threw them on my desk at work on the day I saw the Junior Senior show (which was a month or so ago), and I got sick of them being on my desk, so I took them home, and I'm going to put them in the TODCRA box I'm preparing.

I want to hear about it after you watch it.

You know, I love classroom films. Do you think AV Geeks will do a second lunchbox set so I can justify buying vols. 5-8 in one fell swoop? Everyone knows I cannot resist the lure of limited edition metal lunchboxes. (:

I am trying to ponder Mexican rap and failing miserably. I'll trade you three Maroon 5 posters (all the same, they're 15" x 36" or so, but Himself moved them out of the room so they may be of slighly different dimensions) for them.

I shall let you know when I do!

Hm, I'm not sure. You might email Skip and see if there're plans about that! He'll probably tell you if there are. He's cool.

Eh, I might just send them to you, then I don't know. I don't really like Maroon 5 all that much, and they don't really have the hilarious kitsch value the Mexican Rap Posters do. (they're 3 of them, all different, all 11x17).
