Moving date set.

Once we got a date on Himself's housemate moving out, we had to iron out when Dad would be available to help move stuff and if/when Laurel and I should fly out. (I'd be in a questionable mental state after spending 2-2.5 days driving with a toddler.)

The Reader's Digest version: on the evening of 6 September, Laurel and I are taking a nonstop flight from Denver to Charlotte. Himself will meet us there and we'll drive back to Goldsboro that night (he has that Friday off). Dad will be leaving Colorado with our household baggage on the morning of the 6th and plans on driving straight through (with catnaps), placing his arrival in G'boro between late Saturday night and Sunday morning.

After a few days of unpacking, arranging for new psych care, etc. we'll be settled into the new house and we'll see about hosting a little get-together.

They are for the most part. I've accepted that I will probably never be paid for jury duty and decided 5+ hours of flying with Laurel on my lap is better for my mental health than 2+ days with her in the car, so now I just have to finish packing. (:

For once I'm glad I didn't unpack much other than the computer, clothes and miscellaneous other stuff (TV, stereo, some books and toys). Goodwill's going to love us because there's no way I'm carting all the toys she currently owns cross-country. (She still has a huge Rubbermaid tub of toys we never even unpacked. Eee!)

Oh, and another Very Good Thing: after lowering the starting prices on the two Fisher-Price pony/stable sets (selling some F-P dollhouse stuff since it's a different scale from Laurel's Playskool dollhouse) I've got bids even higher than my original starting prices! In just over 12 hours I'll find out the final prices they sold at and pack the sold lots up to mail on Monday. Hooray for eBay and the postal service. (:
