Home though missing Himself.

0821_02laurelplaneAside from my sinuses taking the pressure changes of flight harder than usual, we arrived in Denver in one piece. Highlights include using an airsick bag for the first time in my life (I took a phenergan two hours pre-flight, apparently too early or not enough), buying the world's most expensive Advil ($7.99 for 24 caplets) and mini Oreos (.99 for a bag that I can get 10 for $3 at the grocery store) in Atlanta, and a drunk rugby team on the flight to Denver. Once Laurel saw her Maghee and Pop-Pop in the terminal she was giggling excited and behaved like a doll all the way home.

Unfortunately when she crawled into bed with me at bedtime she decided to sleep in the middle of the bed (we had separate but adjacent twin-size beds set up) so I woke up with her practically on top of me and her completely covering the buckwheat hull-filled pillow I'd spent a fair amount of my luggage space on. Weenie girl. *wry grin*

Tonight she's sleeping with my mom and we'll set up a more spacious sleeping arrangement for her to co-sleep with me this weekend. Saturday is the D'Evelyn Dash in the morning with karaksindru and redqueenofevil's party in the afternoon, so I'll hopefully be seeing at least a few of you this weekend. I should adjust to the time difference by the beginning of the week so I can have everything set up on this end for Himself arriving with our household baggage.
