Brief update, mostly computer stuff.

I didn't get online yesterday since we had some great fast-moving thunderstorms (two thunderstorm warnings here, but west of the Raleigh-Durham area there were reports of uprooted trees) that dictated that the two boxes we have running 24/7 get shut down.

Himself bought a copy of Deus Ex yesterday at the stripped-down EB Games that recently opened in the mall here, but it turned out to be a "preview version" as [insert foul words of choice here] Eidos is prone to releasing lately. Luckily EB was happy to credit us when we returned it since it was not a full version as the store thought it was.

We were given a t-shirt today when we stopped in the local computer store. I asked (we weren't spending that much, just picking up a few parts) the lady checking us out why -- they're giving them to all their regular customers. Considering we'd never even been in there until last month (they're next door to Phat Boy's, for those of you in the area) we were amused.

If anyone has 256Mb or larger PC100 RAM sticks they'd like to sell, drop me a line; we plan on making an order from NewEgg later this week but I'd be happy to buy used (working) parts off friends first.

In the sorting of stuff pre-move, we have a bunch of stuff we plan on selling (local paper ad, eBay) and/or giving away and I'll be posting lists in the next week in case any of you are interested. Most of it will be fabric, clothing (kids' extra-large to women's medium), and miscellaneous craft/hobby stuff (including finished cross-stitch projects).

I'll be UPS-shipping and USPS Priority-mailing the last few promised packages Saturday and Monday, respectively.

P.S. That game is addictive. I played that when I got home from the hospital.

i think i have a couple 256 PC chips. Not sure if they are 100 or 133...Are the mobos happy with 133 or does it *have* to be 100? i'm not sure if they work in any case -- i'll test them out and let you know.
