So I bought myself a lovely Mother's Day gift, watched it snow until mid-afternoon, and took too many pictures.
I started a week in advance by ordering myself a pair of close-out Birkenstock from Footprints, the only reason I would stop to Kansas aside from rest stops and the Steak N' Shake right off I-70 in Topeka. They arrived a few days prior to the holiday, so I hoped for good weather to wear them on Mother's Day.
Naturally, it snowed.
I didn't feel like sliding around in the yard to get a picture of my feet in their new digs, so do admire the carpet near my computer chair.
Laurel "wrote" a gift message on my invoice when I ordered the Birkis, but since I couldn't get a picture of her modeling them, you can pretend to be mushy over how darn cute she is asleep. (Doesn't take after me, that's for sure.)
Happy (belated) Mother's Day, y'all.
