Gandalf better, lunch good, Walker RSVPed, oddness re Graves. (copied from old weblog)

Feeling much better post-crud, though it'll be a few days more before the cough is gone. Hooray! My favorite cat is also doing much better according to the latest in Robert Hayden's weblog. I'm so glad G's doing better, although now I want to figure out what would be the feline equivalent of a get-well bouquet. Hmm...

Had a nice lunch with Zack, was greatly amused by the toy guns he brought up for me to goggle at -- he said I could play with them, but I don't trust my occasional clumsiness and they were honestly just too cool -- and was slightly saddened that he had to go by 1400. He did get to meet the adorable Miss Laurel though, and I think he got a kick out of her. (:

Caught Walker online tonight and got his RSVP for the Eagle Court of Honor this weekend. Anyone else that got an invite from my family and hasn't called back would do well to since it's going down Sunday. My favorite Hatfield *g* will be reading the Charge to Eagle for my little brother. You know you want to see this, and there's going to be food and Scouters galore. How could it get any better? [insert expected gripe about Mrs. Nehring inviting herself... as usual]

My instinct for the perverse appears to have been dead on, no pun intended. Talked to Himself this morning and confirmed that the airman from F.E. Warren AFB arrested as the prime suspect in a string of rapes in Fort Collins last summer is indeed his roommate from Lackland. (See the Denver Post story on the arrest and DNA evidence here.) Normally this would just remind me that Himself attracts some of the strangest people and often ones I don't particularly like being within 50 feet of, but this one's especially nasty since I've got stuff Graves wrote and Himself's got a picture and a blurb on him in my Fortunecity dumping space. I may take it down, may not.
