Sewing rambling. (copied from old weblog)

I finished Himself's cloak. As requested, all the seams are finished so they won't chafe, but I don't know if he wants a frog closure sewn on or if he'd prefer a pin clasp. Calling on Tuesday gave me a "number is temporarily disconnected" message. (This has happened before when he got behind on paying, although it's just the bare minimum for dial tone since he uses prepaid phone cards for long-distance.) I'll hope he checks his e-mail at work or elsewhere.

I'm not sure what I'm going onto next, since there are some nice accessories I'd like to make from the pattern book my mom picked up at Denver Fabrics just after Laurel was born [Sew & Go Baby]. The portable baby bed isn't something she'd need anymore, but I like the portable highchair (basically a lap restraint that attaches to a regular dining chair). I'm also thinking about the Princess of the Empire dress pattern from My Sister's Patterns since I'd like to wear dresses more but it's difficult and expensive to find ones that fit me off-the-rack. Hmm...
