"It has been confirmed that I will deploy before mid december... time to be anounced 2-4 days prior to departure, destination to be anounced on the plane. At least all the contingency training they put me through didn't go to waste."
I refuse to be upset since he's not contributing financially for Laurel as promised and where things stand now, that's all I expect of him. That e-mail is the only thing I've heard from him this month, although if he leaves this month he may call.
On the bright side, new words and knowledge from Laurel... she said "grandma" for the first time on Saturday, so now she is equal in giving her grandparents names. (She calls my father "pop-pop.") She recently started indicating when she's thirsty by swallowing loudly or running back and forth between you and the refrigerator until you get her a drink. She's learning to put her shoes on herself and has enough hair now to brush by herself. And current bets are that she'll be opening doorknobs within two months.
