Dateline NBC (10 PM Eastern), "Justice for Shannon", features the story of Shannon Scheiber's rape-murder, with interviews with her family, the police, and other victims of Troy Graves. I'm taping it for Himself, but anyone who wants to borrow it or make a copy later is welcome to.
(For those of you new to the story, Graves was sentenced to life in prison last year after surrendering to the police. In the time between the Philadelphia and Fort Collins periods of his crimes, he enlisted in the Air Force, where he was my husband's roommate at Medina Annex, Lackland AFB.)

In the time they were roommates, Graves gave him a few pieces of poetry to post online that were really dark.
He described him to me as being striking to look at because he had blue eyes (Graves is a light-skinned African-American).
One of the best memories Robert says he has of him is from when they were leaving for Christmas exodus. Robert was broke as usual (he had no concept of budgeting back then) and Graves gave him $20 to make sure Robert could get to the bus station since he already had a bus ticket.
