Writer's Block: Happily Ever After?

How did you spend Valentine's Day?

The same way I spend most weekdays: work a little, nap in the sun, catch the afternoon Law & Order reruns. Vogon came home sick so we didn't have our usual lunch together, but he drove me over to Laurel's school to help out at the class party. I walked home afterward, folded and hung up clean laundry, and went with him to pick up Laurel from her after-school program. We decided on the fly to try out Ruchi Palace, the new Indian restaurant in our neighborhood, for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by their excellent south Indian food. I had the rest of my paneer butter masala for lunch today.

Oooh, what Indian restaurant?

Ruchi Palace. They've taken over the location formerly occupied by the Dallas Super Buffet on Trinity Mills between Midway and Marsh.

As a bonus, our receipt included a coupon for 20% off our next visit. Not that we needed that -- it's great to have Indian food closer to us than Belt Line or Park/Hebron and their huge selection will have us trying new dishes for months to come.

Also: they were playing Bollywood music videos during dinner.

There's a municipal airport (KADS, Addison Airport) less than a mile away, so it could be your next hundred dollar hamburger if you're a pilot. (:

bookofblues and radixx are excellent at recommending Thai food. Vogon is pretty good too, but he's not on LJ much lately.
