I'd never smelled our citrus trees' blooms before. Turns out I wasn't missing anything.

Learned over the weekend after moving the citrus trees indoors on Friday to avoid potential wind damage: the blooms of Mexican lime and Meyers lemon smell awful! Don't believe that song "Lemon Tree" about the lemon's flower being sweet. It smells more like a cross between rubber and something rotting.

On the bright side, we have a lemon approaching the size of a golf ball so I look forward to enjoying an extremely juicy lemon in late May or early June.
