- I still watch Sesame Street, although now it's mostly to write segment descriptions of Elmo's World episodes for MuppetWiki.
- I can draw reasonably accurate floorplans and furniture layouts of everyplace I've ever spent more than a week, and a few friends' homes.
- I don't eat shellfish because I don't like the concept of eating something that carries its house around on its back.
- I was the first person born in Rutland, MA since their hospital stopped delivering babies in 1946. (If you're in the area and want to drive by, I'd be happy to tell you the address. Just don't bother the residents since my family no longer lives there.)
- Most of my childhood I had a definite idea of what I wanted to do as an adult, mostly involving astronomy or librarianship. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
- I hate the texture/resonance of most varieties of foam and aluminum. I also don't understand the "luxurious feel" of microfiber because it feels like superfine sandpaper to me.
- I love the smell of mangoes even though I'm allergic to them. I do not hold the same fondness for the scent of kiwi.
- I think I'm missing the girly gene. My six-year-old daughter seems to know more about being girly than I do.
- If you ever hear me speak in Spanish, I will be cranky if you bring up that you can hear my Boston accent in it.
- I am highly amused when 'merkins tell me to go back to Mexico. (See #4.)
