I had a blemish on my back at my waistline (where regular-waisted garments would fall, not hipster or low-riding ones would) and to help it heal, Vogon helpfully picked out and applied a bandage for me. Now I have Strawberry Shortcake on my arse, to which he replied "Get a fork!". Whee.

And now for something not very different, a meme...

Places I've lived:
Rutland, MA
Greenville, NH
Framingham, MA
Blackstone, MA
Conifer, CO
Evergreen, CO
Staunton, VA (Mary Baldwin College)
Goldsboro, NC (on and off base)
Dallas, TX

I'm sure he is, but he's catching up on sleep this weekend. He had a stressful week between work and me having the flu.

We don't have any plain bandages in the house except for some clear Nexcare waterproof ones that are in his prviate stash -- everything else is cartoon character or the Nexcare tattoo prints, so I'm lucky I have Strawberry Shortcake and not a green tattoo eye or something. That could be embarassing if my shirt rode up in back!

There are no clear ones left -- that's what would have been in the box that we looked in and found empty.

I used them all up trying to cure what appeared to be a case of trench foot (because it would hurt most when it was drying), but turned out to just be some seriously dry skin (which cracks badly when it gets wet and then dries back out). The actual cure turned out to be Bag Balm, in spite of the horrendous stench (but then, you know I hate the smell of Bag Balm -- it smells like someone squeezed a sheep over a bucket of vaseline and then packaged the results).

i had to get my blood drawn every week for months, then less and less frequent, now it's only every 3 months, but every time i gently chide my phlabotomist for not stocking winnie the pooh bandages for me. so, i take my own. :D he says he actually looks forward to me, cause i have good veins and i make him smile.

We used to travel to Framingham MA every winter to play hockey.

And you lived up near Franconia then? Now that's a drive.

Random trivia: my most vivid memories of both Greenville and Framingham involve fabric/sewing stores. I haven't been able to find a damn thing to prove the existence of the store in New Hampshire except for a stamped wooden ruler and some old receipts, but Fabric Place is still around. I used to drive Mom nuts sticking my hands in the notions, but now Laurel's obsessed with buttons so I guess it's come full circle there.

yep, lived in Littleton. It was like one weekend...they had sponsor weekends and such.

But think, that same driving distance isn't shit in Texas. That might not even get you out of that county.
