Single minded-midget: Clifford's Really Big Movie.

It's funny how single-minded a four-year-old can be. We ran errands last night with two objectives: to find a few things at Wal-Mart, and to return movies and check more out at Blockbuster.

After fussing in the car as we parked, Laurel acknowledged we were going to Wal-Mart first and added "and we're going to get Clifford's Really Big Movie at Flockbuster!". (She mispronounces it that way; we're working on correcting it.) All through Wal-Mart, she kept talking about Clifford and Emily Elizabeth. As we buckled her in, she threw a mini-fit thinking we were going home instead, and again as we entered the parking lot diagonally opposite from the store. She even remembered exactly where the movie would be -- Kids' New Releases, in the far left corner after coming in the door.

I hope she understands that "two day rental" means it has to go back by lunchtime Thursday. If she's too heartbroken over returning it, we've got a still shrink-wrapped Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss DVD stowed away.
