Laurel is finally nice to the plants... sort of.

Laurel's floral addition to the pepper plantWe've had a heck of a time with our seedlings this year because Laurel, despite repeated warnings to keep sand *in* the sand table, effectively covered almost all of them with sand. Today when I let her out to play on the patio, I thought I spotted something off with the pepper plant. Sure enough, there was a dried rose in it.

A few minutes later, I took a better look at the plants outside and every floor pot had a dried rose or other bouquet material in it. It finally dawned on me these were the remains of a half-dozen roses we took out of the kitchen a bit over a week ago because they were attracting fruit flies and Laurel got to them before I threw them out.
