Conjunctivitis in both eyes now, link to a photo of the rewrapped presents, I'm going back to bed.

I now have conjunctivitis in both eyes. Vogon picked up a bottle of Similasan Pink Eye Relief with a $1 coupon I printed and helped me apply it. He remarked that I fall into the do not use clause -- I have yellow-green discharge and crusting, both eyes hurt and I'm having trouble focusing my right eye -- but there isn't anything else I can do about it. I'll use it if it helps. (I know I could see a doctor, but it's really not worth $100 for the visit to get a prescription for expensive antibiotic eye drops when the infection will eventually clear out on its own.)

Remember when I posted that Laurel had unwrapped all the gifts and I was considering re-wrapping them in brown paper and duct tape? I did. Here's the proof -- and yes, I wrapped my Chicklit fundraising draw prize because I wanted to throw a visual break among all the red bows (Laurel's gifts).

I decided to open a hard cider a few hours earlier than planned, but the noise from Laurel watching the afternoon PBS Kids block in her room and Vogon watching Clan of the Cave Bear in the study is exacerbating the headache I've had for a few days, so I'm going to put it back in the fridge and crawl back in bed.

ETA 2030: The eye drops relieved the burning and inflammation for just shy of four hours. I'm going to try applying them myself (I usually accept help since I'm a blinker) since Vogon's napping now and will note if they help the discharge or redness (the other two symptoms listed on the package) since I wouldn't have noticed them while napping.
