I am thinking exceptionally foul things at the downstairs neighbors right now. They started the music (read: bass that resonates in our floor) at 2100, took a break between 0200 and 0300, and are back in full swing replete with partiers outside and the occasional (I hope) karaoke. I haven't called the police to report them because I'm sure they're busy enough with real problems, but I should file a complaint with the management. Finding empty beer bottles all over the grass the next day is getting old.

I still haven't carved the pumpkin we earmarked for carving yet, but it's going to be GIR from Invader Zim. (I painted the other one a few weeks ago and Laurel's been loving the paint off it ever since.)

The faux-chainstitch (dimensional paint) is drying on Laurel's costume top, so I only need to acquire the oversized buttons for decoration and Velcro to fasten the back and she'll be good to go, sans the yarn wig. You'd think it'd be easier to find rust-colored rug yarn, but neither Wal-Mart (where we bought the costume pattern) nor Michael's crafts had any, so unless Hancock Fabrics surprises us she'll be fine without it.

Re: Quick solution.
I turned on the vacuum when I woke up this morning and let it run for awhile because they had music going until around 0200 earlier in the day.

I started actively documenting their noise last week. I plan to report them because I'm sick of it, both literally and figuratively. My body doesn't heal well without sleep.

We caught an episode of COPS the other day where a suspect took a baseball bat to someone that had fired shots at him and his house the week before. I was actively cheering for the guy (he was cooperative and didn't deny his actions) and was only subdued when one of the witnesses said the suspect had hit the victim over a dozen times after he fell down.
