When it rains, it pours packages.

We spent the afternoon visiting Himself's grandmother (photos to come, I just unloaded them) and when we got home, there were three packages of stuff I'd ordered:
- a back-ordered video from T. Myers;
- an 18" scroll frame from Nordic Needle (it'll make Amy's wedding piece go much faster because my Q-Snap just couldn't keep a good hold on linen); and
- my DivaCup.

The cup is the most exciting of the three because gimping through my last period after the reaction to my beloved Keeper was very unpleasant. I am very thankful for medical-grade silicone now.

you'll have to let me know how the divacup works out. . . it looks weird but strangely compelling. . .

I bought the DivaCup to replace a Keeper, which looks almost exactly the same except that it's made of latex. I've used the Keeper for a bit over a year and it more than paid for itself in that time.

Aside from the minor squick factor of using one, it's put a fair amount back into my monthly budget. It also made my life a lot easier this past summer when my reproductive system went batshit and made me bleed every other week. (Sorry if that's a TMI; we don't know what caused it but I wasn't pregnant and nothing showed up on a pelvic ultrasound other than a tiny ovarian cyst I named after the Mean Women's Health Nurse at the base clinic.)
