My cheapass camera bag took a dump on me today as I was trying to get things done expediently this afternoon. My camera only got a few minor scratches but since one of the batteries escaped Himself is cranky. (We had rechargeables in it that the local Radio Shack charges an exorbitant price for, at least to me.) I'm just happy only that, the GPS and a tin of Penguins fell out in the bag failure; if my Jornada had I'm sure it would be out of commission.

That aside, the two items awaiting UPS shipping have gone out; the stereo went yesterday and the scanner today. (Amethyst, I will e-mail you with the tracking number for your package.) The two packages to APO/FPO addresses will be going out tomorrow, as well as the stereo remote since I found it after we returned from shipping the stereo. JoJo, I threw a Best of Maxim collection in, so it's not all FHM back issues.

Since Himself did not sort through his share of non-clothing items in the master bedroom over the weekend as promised, I'm going to start throwing the obvious non-sentimental items (like broken electronics he's yet to salvage parts off of) away. Today's objective is to de-crap the living room and if I complete that today, I will do the same for the kitchen tomorrow. Most of this weekend will be spent dealing with the spare room, including taking Laurel's crib to the Once Upon A Child in town as the Airman's Attic on base has poopy hours for dropping off donations. sage_and_sea, if you want any of Laurel's outgrown toys in good condition, let me know and I'll send you a list of what we have.

I apologize to those of you in NC I haven't confirmed plans to get together with before I leave, but unless you want to drop by our place while I'm home I probably won't be able to fit anything in. (oxymoron02, consider things confirmed although we'll work out a more exact time this weekend. knicole1979, I'll give you a call early next week to set up a time for me to stop by.)

On a semi-related note, July 2003 photos are up, including the "romantic pink" daylilies that weren't quite as advertised.

Sure and sure, but you have to give me your new mailing address! Shannon made a card for you, and I would like to send something as well.

I always have my current contact information, including postal address, on the contact page of my website.

I'll type up a list of the <12 months-appropriate toys we have this weekend. While it's designed for 18 months and up, we also have a good-size bead rollercoaster (photo) that amused Laurel endlessly after she learned to sit up.

Oooo. I just saw those flowers from June. I love them! Pretty. :)

Laurel looks just like her daddy! Thanks for sharing. :)

The daylily comment was referring to the purple-and-yellow flower that was the last image in my July photos. When I bought the bulbs, they were advertised as champagne pink.

While I'm amazed the portulacas (the flowers in the windowbox) are still blooming, it's really easy to do -- I just pinch the flowers off after they're done blooming and the plant will keep blooming because most plants will bloom until they've produced seeds.

Have you seen the photos of Robert when he was a kid? They really do look just like each other at that age except that he was blonde until first or second grade.
