"This is why I have a Twitter feed."

Noo ne noo ne noo...
Spotted in a Hairpin thread, posting here for later reference because it rings true for me:

Re: "There's something very melancholic about having no one to turn to afterwards and say 'Remember when?' & you feel as though you've just had this experience that may as well be imaginary."

This is why I have a Twitter feed.

Oh man that is so true. I told Max that everything that happened before my family died seems like a dream. Or that I just made it all up. It's a total different reality and I was a totally different person. Like I lived someone else's life. The kids & Max will never know that part of me or the people involved. It's weird when I really think about it. And lonely and sad...

If not for having blogged about it when it happened, some of the events I've written about feels imaginary to me now.

Every time I see your hometown on the weather report here, I think of you and hope things are going well in your neck of the woods.
