I have a Google alert set for pages that link to my Flickr photostream so I can see when people use my Creative Commons-licensed photos to illustrate articles. I found today's a particularly clever use of my nephew shoveling snow:

That's pretty neat. I must admit though, a Google alert for Flickr items seems wrong somehow. (Flickr is owned by Yahoo!)

That's cool that you get credit though. I'll have to set up some kind of alert for my stuff. Of course, that requires me to upload with some regularity.

Coolness!

How did you set up the alert?

On the Google Alerts page, I created an alert with the search term "link:http://www.flickr.com/photos/oddharmonic/". I have it set to comprehensive (pulls results from News, Web and Blogs) and to notify me by e-mail as it happens. I get a few notifications a month, but I'm tickled pink every time.
