I felt ineffably old today when Laurel asked me what "sexy" means.

Then I remembered giggling at that word on the back cover matter of the paperback of Life, the Universe and Everything at the same age and I felt even older.

...

In case I haven't plugged it recently, I still love Robie Harris' "It's NOT the Stork!" as an introduction to talking about human reproduction and sexuality with early elementary school-aged children. The Internet is full of people who were raised using cutesy nicknames for their anatomical parts because they're uncomfortable saying "vagina" and would rather reveal their gynecological issues to an online community than see a health care professional or get a second opinion. Please don't contribute to another generation of that.

I feel compelled to flash my Susie Bright "Clits Up!" button at this point, but I'd have to fish it out of my purse to take a picture of it. Use your imagination.

I also would like to know about this button please.

Separately, sorry I didn't answer your phone call oddharmonic a few nights ago. Stuck at work and still haven't seen the show. :(

I'm curious to see how the new season will shape up. After the general letdown of Next Food Network Star, I'm hopeful that Who Wants To Be A Superhero will suck less. Plus, you know, hot chicks in spandex costumes.

The button is a pin-back. Clits Up! is a catch-phrase of Suzie Bright. Bright herself cheered a particular picture of one on Flickr.

It's Susie's catchphrase. I have a little pin of it that she sent me after I donated to her blog.

I like to keep it on the shoulder strap of my carry-on bag when I travel. It's like a cheap security tool here in Texas!

Yay, sex!
I want a bumpersticker that reads, "Sexually health societies produce less psychokillers!"

Well, ok, I want it for someone else. My car is pretty happy with it's sole Bob Dobbs 'BEWARE' bumpersticker.

Re: Yay, sex!
My flip response: the closest you'll probably find to that is the "My killer robot skull-fucked your honor student." sticker from Goats. They also have a "Republicans for Voldemort" sticker that it would be really fun to tag a parking lot at a kiddie soccer game with. But I'm childish like that.

My serious response: if you want to come up with a great line to go on stickers, Srini of Unamerican fame does custom stickers starting at 250 for $50 at stickernation.com. I can move any extras you don't want of that quantity. I can draw and sew, but I'm slow at wit.

Also: you have a Dobbshead sticker on your car? Seriously? I bow to you.

Re: Yay, sex!
Yup yup, the last beasticle I called a car had a solo bumper sticker that said 'Kill Yer Television' (good advice) but the new(er) one is graced solely by Bob Dobbs where my front license plate should be. And I prefer groveling over bowing. :)

If I was going to go renegade bumperstickering, I'd have to make some for SUVs that read "I help contribute to high gas prices and global strife! Vote Republican!" But I'm childish like that.

And feel free to steal any wit of mine that inspires you to do so. All I ask is you remember me when yer rich. :)

You should have defined it as "something is sexy when you see it and you want to fuck it."

We've discussed sexual attraction.

I'd just rather not get a call from the school inquiring why my second-grader used the adjective 'sexy'. I had to explain several of her favorite large words last year!
