Photo: Laurel's souvenir circus shot.

We caught the last of the weekend's Ringling shows in Raleigh. Also missed the pre-show floor show, but we did get a souvenir picture afterward since Laurel's gotta follow in the family footsteps. (:

Laurel's circus portrait

On a side note, midgets are really funny.

Thank you! Laurel actually slept through most of the circus (she wouldn't sleep in the car, silly girl) but we woke her up for the clown acts.

Thank you! I don't know when Ringling's souvenir photos started offering facepainting, but they've offered photos with props for a long time -- there's a photo at my parents' house of my older sister and I as toddlers sitting on a plastic tiger. (Robert joked that we really only went to all the way to Raleigh so I wouldn't miss my annual Ringling show. He was mostly right.)

midgets are funny....

especially midgets in big shoes...

in big shoes with little red noses...

But not midget clowns...

because clowns are freaky scary...

and that is the most kawaii pic ever...

Re: hehehe...
If you think clowns are scary, I'll be sure to warn you in the future if I post any more family photos. (My father's side of the family is heavily steeped in Mexican circuses, and the family business back home is clowning. I'm not funny, so I facepaint for them.)

Thank you! What you can't see is me behind the cannon trying to keep her up; she didn't want to stand on the top step of the step-stool behind it (smart girl) and didn't want me holding her either, so instead she kinda hung over the edge of the cannon. My doofey kid. (:
