popcornoblivionHolly, did you get the Class of 2002 reunion package in the mail from MBC yet?

I was a little unnerved by the Sarah scarf (1LT Sarah Small '02 died while serving in Egypt) but I'm really tempted to skip the memory book form and return the memories form with frank but vaguely disturbing things. It'd be a pretty good reflection of my experience there, which would have completely sucked if not for all the great PEG students I met.

...And maybe attach a photocopy of the directions on how to skin a squirrel from my vintage edition of Joy of Cooking because I print it for replying to mailings with a prepaid reply envelope.

I did get the packet. I'm planning to send back the nerdy questionnaire, but unless a whole bunch of PEGs decide to crash the party, I don't plan on attending the reunion. (I did attend last year's, since it was also the 20th anniversary of PEG and quite a few of "our girls" came).

Am I a nerd if I admit that the Sarah scarf thing made me tear up a little? She was always a sweet girl when we were hall presidents together.

I noticed on the bottom of the memories form that it says November 21 for the return date, so I recycled it.

The scholarship in Sarah's name made me tear up. I'd donate to the scholarship fund, but the scarf itself was a little weird to me. She was always nice to me when I was studying for German with the cadets from my German class. (My German class was about half cadets, which I didn't realize until they all wore VWIL shirts one day. Hi, I'm slow.)
