Don't know if it made the news since I've turned to getting my weather forecasts online, but the Kinky Friedman campaign turned in 169,547 signatures -- including at least one signature from every one of the state's 254 counties -- to the Texas Secretary of State on Thursday.

That's nearly four times the number of signatures required for gubernatorial ballot access.

Thank you, Texas.

Kinky was on "Majority Report" tonight as I was driving home. I'm still not terribly fond of his stance on religion's relationship with government, but for the most part his platform is pretty solid. Hopefully y'all will be rid of Perry after this election.
