Local Dallas geocachers:

After missing it the past three equinoxes, I've marked my calendar to visit Sun Up at Quorum at 12:34 pm on March 21st this year. I'll be there with my trusty little yellow eTrex and a camera if you want a photo to add to your log of the cache.

One of my New Year's resolutions is to get out and cache more, so if anyone wants to go have some fun cache hunting with me, drop me a line.

I am SOOOOOOOOO on board with this. Please nag me incessantly beforehand so I don't forget and miss this. It looks freakin' awesome!

And the Sep. 21 one would be neat, too, since that's a very special day for me. (This year, 2006, will mark two years.)

Oh! And I got your phone call. To answer your question: Silver with White trim. Someday, hopefully sooner rather than later, she'll get to see it!

Geocaching is an activity where you use a GPS receiver (though I've seen a few people post in geocaching about playing without using one) to find a cache at a specific set of latitude and longitude coordinates. A cache usually contains a logbook to sign and some small items to trade (trinkets, small toys, CDs, etc.) and after you sign the logbook, you can log your find at a cache listing site.

I'm a registered user at Geocaching.com, but there are several other cache listing sites mentioned in the Wikipedia article on geocaching.
