Vogon gave Laurel up a sippy cup of raspberry Crystal Lite and a garnish plate (olives, pickles, etc.) earlier today and it came back up all over the floor shortly afterward. So far I've gone over it with the Little Green (using the Pet Odor & Stain Removal Formula cleaning fluid) three times and applied Gonzo Stain Remover twice, but it's only lightened the stain a few shades.

I have a reasonable complement of stain removers and household cleaners at hand and could ask Vogon to pick up any recommended product we don't have tomorrow, but I'm at a loss for what to try. Oxygen-based cleaners? Wine Out?

Caveat: Please word replies in short sentences. I've been taking ibuprofen and Sudafed regularly, but I'm still running a temperature and my head and chest feel stuffed like a frelling piñata.

I saw a recipe for "dry suds" when I was looking for, um, cleaning solutions, a while back, and it got great reviews from Heloise. . .
Basically, you take detergent and a very little bit of water, whisk it into a froth, take the top layer of suds and gently massage it into the carpet. Blot it dry and let it air dry.
Of course, you're getting this from a guy whose collective cat-hair dust-bunnies formed an embassy and joined the UN, so take this with a grain of salt.
Hope you feel better soon!

I heard once that plain club soda can take out such stains.

Be sure that whatever you use, you use a clean white rag to blot out the stain, otherwise it 'll just spread and dry farther down into the carpeting.

With stuff like this, I usually think about engine degreasers. Stuff like full strength Simple Green. The problem is getting it back out of the carpet again.

I'm sorry that I cannot be more helpful, but good luck to you!
