Photos: If Ricardo Montalban was a snail...

He would say "I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you"...

Yes, I know the snail is actually eating the fish, but this was really funny at two in the morning.

...but think she is such a cold fish!

And if Tattoo was a fish...
De plane! De plane!

For the curious, one of the snails in the large freshwater tank really did eat one of the feeder fish this morning. I've got around a dozen good photos if you want to see high-res (1200x1600px) copies.

Neither had we until this morning! We were falling asleep when Vogon commented that Spike, the blue prawn that we buy feeder fish for, was getting ready to eat and noticed the snail latched onto a fish. I'm still amazed at its tenacity -- I got photos over a 15-minute span -- especially since the snails mostly keep the glass clean.

I had NO idea that snails would eat feeder fish! I guess that would explain a couple of events some years ago, when we actually had an aquarium. And WOAH! That snail looks like he's eating something his size or BIGGER! Where's it all going???

Neither did we and no idea, in that order. When I woke up in the morning and checked the tank, I couldn't tell which snail (we currently have three) had been eating the fish.

Those are awsome photos. More snails should eat things. You should just start feeding those snails lots of stuff and taking photos. Be all like "HEY SNAIL! EAT FOR MY AMUSEMENT!"
