It hit me that I fit here when Laurel finally calmed down after losing outdoor privileges for the day (she threw things off the patio and took an indoor toy outside for a 'bath' in the water table), Biko's being affectionate and laid down in front of my printer, and I'm finally not worried about things being perfectly tidy because I'm really getting things cut and ready to sew today.

I am quite sufficient, or at least feeling it after two clemastine tablets by noon to flip my sinuses' Good/Evil switch back to Good and a 5-HTP when I felt my mood swing down. (:

It's a substance the brain creates converting tryptophan into serotonin.

Neat. And it's OTC?

Yes, it's OTC, but I won't touch anything other than the Natrol stuff. For some reason it's much more effective than any of the other brands I have tried -- believe me, if you're wanting 5-HTP a dud pill can lead to some rather amazing rants: 3 hours long at the top of my lungs about why there is cat hair up my nose and how I should just shave poor kitty bald LOL (er... wait... uhm, I mean my Biko Mira kitty, not... I mean... er... oh, my {blush}).

ANYway, 5-HTP takes effect within an hour or two, rather than several days like everything else.
